Position: Associate Veterinarian

Job Summary:
As an Associate Veterinarian, you will work alongside a team of experienced veterinarians and support staff to provide high-quality medical care for a variety of small animal patients. You will have the opportunity to utilize your skills and knowledge in a fast-paced and collaborative environment, while also developing your own client base and building lasting relationships with pet owners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions in small animals
- Perform surgeries, including routine spays and neuters, as well as more complex procedures
- Develop treatment plans and communicate them effectively to clients, ensuring their understanding and compliance
- Collaborate with other veterinarians and support staff to provide comprehensive and compassionate care for all patients
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for all patients
- Keep up-to-date with the latest advancements in veterinary medicine and procedures
- Provide guidance and mentorship to veterinary technicians and support staff
- Participate in on-call and emergency services as needed
Requirements:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited veterinary school
- Active and unrestricted veterinary license in the state of employment
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a veterinary hospital setting
- Strong surgical and medical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Compassionate and empathetic towards both animals and their owners
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Ability to handle the physical demands of the job, including standing for extended periods, lifting and restraining animals, and performing surgeries
