Job Description:
As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work alongside a team of experienced physical therapists to provide high-quality care to patients with a variety of conditions and injuries. Your primary responsibility will be to assist the physical therapist in implementing treatment plans and helping patients improve their mobility, strength, and overall physical function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the physical therapist in evaluating and assessing patients' conditions and developing individualized treatment plans
- Implement treatment plans under the direction of the physical therapist, including exercises, stretches, and other therapeutic techniques
- Monitor patients' progress and document any changes or improvements in their condition
- Educate patients and their families on proper techniques for exercises and activities to improve their condition
- Communicate with the physical therapist and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure the best possible outcomes
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation
- Adhere to all legal and ethical standards in the provision of patient care
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program
- Current state license as a Physical Therapist Assistant
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of physical therapy principles and techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to patient care
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
