Key Responsibilities

  • Medical & Surgical Care: Perform comprehensive small animal physical examinations, diagnostic procedures, routine and complex medical treatments, and standard surgical procedures (spays, neuters, dentistry, mass removals, etc.).

  • Diagnostics: Interpret diagnostic imaging (digital radiography, ultrasound) and laboratory results to formulate accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.

  • Client Communication: Clearly communicate health statuses, prognosis, and treatment options to pet owners, ensuring they are engaged partners in their pets care.

  • Mentorship: Provide guidance and clinical support to Licensed Veterinary Technicians and support staff to maintain high medical standards and efficient workflow.

  • Record Keeping: Maintain thorough, accurate, and timely electronic medical records (paperless systems).

  • Protocol Development: Actively participate in the development and implementation of medical protocols, upholding the hospital's standards of care.
